About the Workshops

Treat your fellow F.S.L. teachers to the "energetic, motivating and outstanding workshop" called "Rockin', Hip Hoppin' and Surfin' in the French and Spanish Classrooms". This workshop is for teachers who just want to have fun! Using current styles of music as a motivational and educational teaching tool, participants will be introduced to French and Spanish educational music designed to reach and motivate students.

This workshop will:
present songs that specifically cover important grammatical and thematical material (la famille, la maison, être, ser, avoir, tener, aller, -er, -ar and -ir verbs and much more).
demonstrates how to use them as effective educational and motivational tools
shows teachers how to make their own current styles of music in the Core or Immersion classroom.
Each song is played in a different genre of music from rock'n'roll and grunge to rap, reggae, dance and hip hop, all used to get the students singing, dancing and inductively learning! Experience exciting songs, ideas and web sites that you'll be able to use the day after the workshop.
